“We create sensory-aware spaces that support your needs, sensitivities, and strengths”

Effective architectural design is about meaningful interactions with the built world. For a client with cognitive, executive function, memory, emotional, or other challenges, it is critical that the built world supports independence and well-being.

Our design process is a bit different from conventional architects, as we strive to see the project from the unique perspective, needs, and challenges of those who will be interacting with the space in order to create a supportive and empowering (and awesome) space.

Our educational background and experience with special needs individuals has led to our commitment to employ creative communication strategies at all stages of the project, including involving non-verbal, memory-impaired, and visually impaired clients in the design process. We also view partnering with caretakers and other professionals as integral to forming a successful architectural design solution.

The result is a seamless space that supports in an invisible way, and that is pleasant for all users. All elements are fully integrated into designs with an emphasis on natural textures and structural patterns.
